DANNENBRINK FAMILY HISTORY

(continued)

In October of 1897, a line was completed from Sawyers Bar to the Forks of Salmon and the Gilta Mine.

In September 1904, August was appointed President of Siskiyou Telephone Company. As the business grew, it became necessary for August to move to Etna and devote full time to managing the Company in 1911. August's daughter, Eleanor (Dannenbrink) Hendricks, had commented that her father was the only one that could keep a double entry set of books. August continued to serve as President until his death in 1941.
