ANONYMOUS CALL REJECTION

Any call from a location that has blocked the display of its number will be rejected. Only callers who allow their numbers to be displayed will ring through.

TERMINATING CALL MANAGER

This feature blocks most of the calls that are unknown or out of area and gives the caller a recorded announcement, which can be by-passed by a live caller. This feature is included with Anonymous Call Rejection if desired at no additional charge.

How to use Anonymous Call Rejection:

  • Pick up the handset and listen for a normal dial tone.

  • Press *77. On a rotary phone, dial 1177. Your call will go through like a normal call.

  • Listen for confirmation tone or announcement. Hang up.

To cancel Anonymous Call Rejection:

  • Pick up the handset and listen for a normal dial tone.

  • Press *87.

  • Listen for confirmation tone or announcement. Hang up.

Notes:

The “switchhook” is the round, flat, or square button you push to hang up the phone.

You will not be notified when calls are rejected.

How to use Terminating Call Manager:

*95 (menu)

0 = block the last caller

1 = add a number to the blocked list

2 = remove a number from the blocked list

3 = remove all numbers from the blocked list

4 = add a number to your allowed list

6 = to turn the entire service on

7 = turn the entire service off

9 = to allow private callers

* = repeat menu options

Notes:

Does not always work if there is an extra line (fax line) and the extra line is the number that is called. If the caller information in unknown, blocked, or a displayed out of the area number, the call will be challenged and the caller will hear a recording and the call (fax) won’t go through. If the caller presses 1 or stays on the line, the number will automatically display, and the call will go through (changes from private or unknown to the actual calling number). These “challenged” numbers, that go through, will be stored in the customers accepted list (up to 25 numbers stored). If the twenty-sixth caller places a call which goes through, it will be added to the accepted list, and the caller that was at the bottom of the list will drop off (callers that call the least continually move down to the bottom of the list).

Siskiyou Telephone displayed numbers, Verizon numbers (598 prefix only) will automatically go through without being challenged.
