Showing Up for Siskiyou County: Community Events This Fall

Fall is shaping up to be a busy season across Siskiyou County, and Siskiyou Telephone and SisQtel Broadband are looking forward to being part of it.

For us, being a local internet and communications provider means more than connecting homes and businesses. It means being part of the communities we serve—supporting local organizations, spending time with our neighbors, and showing up for the events that bring people together.

Over the next several weeks, you’ll find our teams out and about at community events across the area. Here’s where we’ll be.

Supporting Childhood Cancer Awareness

We’re starting the season by participating in the Childhood Cancer Awareness Color Run/Walk on September 16.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to join community members in showing support for children and families affected by childhood cancer.

Events like this are an important reminder of what can happen when a community comes together around its neighbors, and we’re proud to take part.

SisQtel Broadband at the Montague Hot Air Balloon Fair

From September 18–20, the Montague Hot Air Balloon Fair returns to Montague for its 28th year.

SisQtel Broadband is proud to sponsor this longtime Siskiyou County tradition. Organized by the Montague Rotary Club, the weekend includes early-morning balloon launches, food and craft vendors, tethered balloon rides, a downtown parade, kids’ activities, and the Saturday evening Night Glow.

It’s a great opportunity to spend a fall weekend together and enjoy one of the events that makes our corner of Northern California special.

Connecting the SisQtel Broadband Event

On September 26, SisQtel Broadband will be out in the community again—and this time, we’ll be helping keep the event connected.

Our team will have a tasting booth set up, and SisQtel Broadband will be providing Wi-Fi for the event.

Reliable internet plays a role in more places than just homes and offices. Community gatherings, vendors, organizers, and visitors increasingly depend on connectivity, too. We’re glad to put our local broadband network to work while enjoying the event alongside our neighbors.

Be sure to stop by our booth and say hello.

Teeing Off for the Siskiyou Community Classic

We’re also looking forward to the Siskiyou Community Classic Charity Golf Tournament, where we’ll be participating as both a sponsor and golfers.

The tournament is another chance for local businesses, organizations, and community members to spend time together while supporting a good cause.

We’re looking forward to getting out on the course, visiting with familiar faces, and supporting another Siskiyou County community tradition.

More Community Events Coming in October

Our community involvement continues into October. Siskiyou Telephone will be sponsoring the Fall Festival, joining local families and organizations for another seasonal community gathering.

We’ll also have a trunk at the FJ Trunk or Treat. We’re looking forward to seeing local families come out and enjoy the Halloween festivities.

Keep an eye out for the Siskiyou Telephone team at both events and come say hello.

Local Means Being Part of the Community

Siskiyou Telephone has deep roots in Western Siskiyou County, and SisQtel Broadband continues that commitment to local connectivity in the communities it serves.

Providing reliable internet and communications is an important part of what we do, but being local means something more. The people we serve are also the people we see at community events, local businesses, schools, fundraisers, and gatherings throughout the year.

That’s why supporting local events matters to us.

Whether we’re providing WiFi, sponsoring an event, walking for an important cause, playing a round of golf, or simply spending time with our neighbors, we’re proud to be part of the communities that make Siskiyou County home.

We hope to see you out there this fall.
