NOTICE OF MORATORIUM ON DISCONNECTION FOR NON-PAYMENT AND LATE PAYMENT FEES FOR TELEPHONE SERVICE DURING GOVERNOR’S DECLARED STATE OF EMERGENCY DUE TO PANDEMIC


Effective January 17, 2021, Siskiyou Telephone implemented a moratorium on disconnection for non-payment and late payment fees for telephone service during the Governor's declared state of emergency due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. This moratorium has been implemented per CPUC Resolution No. M-4848. Per the Executive Director of the Public Utilities Commission, the moratorium has been extended and will end September 30, 2021. The moratorium does not relieve customers of their financial obligations.


Update to Siskiyou Telephone’s Response to COVID-19

To better protect our employees and you during this uncertain time, we have limited access to our Business Office Lobby at this time. A telephone is located in our Main Entrance foyer which rings directly to our Customer Service Representatives. We are allowing only one visitor in the foyer at a time. If we are unable to serve your needs from the foyer, you may be granted access to the lobby. The area surfaces, telephone and door handles are sanitized after each customer exits the building.

We are still conducting installations and necessary repairs to the outside of your premises. If our technician needs to enter the home, we may ask if anyone in the household is experiencing flu-like symptoms. Please apply Social Distancing guidelines as recommended by the CDC at https://www.cdc.gov while the technician is outside and/or inside the premises.
