Crew Member/Laborer
(Seasonal-Temporary)

We are looking for a Seasonal-Temporary Crew Member/Laborer to join our dynamic team here at Siskiyou Telephone!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with crew foreman to ensure a clear understanding of roles and expectations in order to be productive

• Assist construction crew with preparing construction sites and placing telecom facilities (trench work, place conduit, pull fiber/copper cable, etc.)

• Loading and unloading tools, material, and equipment as needed

• Operate skid steer, mini excavator, and roller

• Follow company safety rules, guidelines & regulations

• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications & Education:

• High school graduate or GED

• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus)

• Ability to pass a drug test

• Work in a team environment, independently or self-motivated

• Work in underground (confined spaces), buried and aerial environments

• Work outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions

• Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting or walking, bending, twisting, squatting and reaching above the head

• Ability to lift 80 lbs.

• Able to work overtime and weekends if needed

• Telecommunications and construction background not required, but preferred

Structure & Pay:

• $18-$22 per hour (based on experience)

• Typical work week is Monday-Friday (40 hours – with occasional overtime as needed)

• Seasonal position covers western Siskiyou County (construction season typically 9-10 months yearly depending on weather)

• Employment is through Custom Personnel (employment agency contracted by Siskiyou Telephone)

• Company will provide necessary training

• Company provided tools and safety equipment
